자녀의 뇌를 발달시키는 법

①자녀가 젖먹이라면 늘 눈을 맞추고 자녀의 울음, 웃음, 눈짓이나 옹알이에 몸짓을 하며 반응한다. ②자녀가 10세가 될 때까지 자유로운 공간에서 맘껏 놀도록 장려한다. ③가급적 거실의 TV를 끄고 아이들과 논다. 자주 재미있는 얘기를 들려준다. ④어릴 적부터 재미있는 목표를 정해서 이를 이루는 것을 장려한다. ⑤자녀와 함께 매일 감사할 일에 대해 생각한다. ⑥아버지의 역할이 특히 중요하다. 자녀가 초등학교 때까지는 같이 땀 흘리며 시범을 보이는 ‘코치’ 역할, 청소년 때에는 성문제나 폭력 문제 등에 대한 ‘상담가’ 역할, 자녀가 어른이 되면 독립된 인격으로서 ‘친구’ 역할을 하도록 노력한다. ⑦가족의 독특한 문화나 공동의 취미를 갖고 아이들과 공유한다.
