<박목월의 나그네>
한자어로 천의무봉(天衣無縫)이라고 하죠? 순우리말로는 ‘쩍말없다’고 합니다. ‘너무나 잘 돼 더 말할 나위가 없다’는 뜻입니다. 지훈(芝薰) 조동탁의 시와 이에 화답한 목월(木月) 박영종의 시.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
In the past decade, stem cell research and treatments have attracted more media interest than any other branch of medical practice. There is now a great thirst for knowledge on this subject, among healthcare professionals and consumers. The promise of stem cell therapies involve the potential replacement of cells or organs that are diseased, injured, infirm, ailing or aged. There has been a degree of “hype” about stem cells in some popular media formats, where putative claims of benefit may have transcended current science. In this stem cell summit, a group of experienced academics and individuals, involved in stem cell transplantation, present a series of topics to cover the general principles and practice of stem cell biology and evidence-based treatments. There is no doubt that stem cell treatments afford an enticing pathway for the promotion of longevity, but outcome data in this area remain limited. |

TARGETS AND OBJECTIVES
To provide a basic overview of research and
current clinical application of stem cell treatments.
To educate participants on an evidenced-based
approach of referral of patients for evaluation
for stem cell therapies, with respect to peer-
reviewed literature.
To understand the basic organizational structure
of a clinical, operating, stem cell facility, with
reporting of outcome data.
To attempt to sort science from speculation
in the field of stem cell science.
To develop a working knowledge of the ethics and
regulatory practices that govern the use of stem
cells taken from a variety of sources, including:
embryonic, adult, (ip) and cord-blood stem cells.
To understand the potential value of
stem cell banking.
To develop a knowledge base which can provide
a physician with guidance in counseling
patients who inquire about stem cell treatments.
To place stem cell therapies in their correct
perspective in clinical practice.
